My Story

Early Life
Erik L. Kenyon is a natural go-getter. His passion for cars, sports and business began early, taking root at the age of 10. While many kids his age were just discovering hobbies, Erik was already elbow-deep in engines at his grandfather’s home car repair shop. There, he learned how to handle tools, understand mechanics and absorb the fundamentals of running a small business. More importantly, it gave him an early glimpse into the power of discipline, curiosity, and hands-on experience.
With growing interest in entrepreneurship, at age 14, Erik launched his own neighborhood lawn mowing business, managing clients, schedules and equipment. Alongside his business ventures, Erik had a strong love for martial arts. He dedicated himself to Taekwondo with the same drive. Years of training culminated in a black belt by the time he entered his second year of high school, and he quickly rose to become one of the top Taekwondo nationalists in Colorado.
Career
Erik’s professional journey evolved rapidly during 2003, the year he uncovered a deep interest in marketing, advertising, and technology. While in college, he merged these passions by designing and developing real estate websites for his uncle’s growing business. This experience combined his creative edge with technical skills, introducing him to the impact of digital marketing and laying the foundation for his career in business strategy and technology.
By 2006, Erik entered the corporate world, gaining critical experience in sales, account management, and customer relationships. He naturally gravitated toward leadership roles, demonstrating a sharp understanding of team dynamics and operational efficiency. Over the next decade, Erik expanded his expertise across higher education, technical support, project management, and customer success leadership—building a reputation as a results-driven professional who could manage both people and process with precision.
In 2017, he joined Unbridled Connect as an operations manager, where he played a key role in helping startups and new businesses enter the market with confidence. Supporting his clients reminded him of his own entrepreneurial roots and sparked the desire to return to business ownership. The experience reignited his long-standing vision to build a marketing agency that fused strategy, creativity, and performance.
That vision came to life as Ignite Theory LLC, a modern marketing agency focused on helping brands grow, adapt, and lead in competitive markets. Under Erik’s leadership, Ignite Theory has become a respected name in the industry, known for driving results, building strong client relationships, and bringing innovation to today's market.

Personal Life
Erik is a family man, married to the love of his life Alisa Kenyon. Together they share their lives with family and friends just outside of Denver, Colorado.

Giving Back
Following the successful development of Ignite Theory LLC, Erik and his wife Alisa are strong believers in giving back. The couple shares a deep passion for education, science, the environment and healthcare. They envisioned a company that not only delivers exceptional business results but also makes a meaningful impact on the world.
As part of their commitment, Ignite Theory LLC donates 5% of its annual revenue to causes that matter most to Erik and Alisa. These contributions support organizations such as the Children’s Hospital-Colorado and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo-two institutions close to their hearts. In addition, the company regularly supports educational initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, scientific innovation, and human well-being.
